Privacy policy
Last updated: October 25, 2026
SFL Today ("we," "us") runs sfltoday.com, a South Florida news hub and local business directory. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. If you submit a business listing, claim a listing, buy a Premium listing, or email us, we collect the details you provide — business name, contact name, email, phone, address, hours, and listing content.
- Payment information. Premium listing payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; Stripe handles payment data under its own privacy policy.
- Usage information. Like most websites, we collect standard log and analytics data — pages visited, approximate location (city/region), device and browser type, and referral source — to understand what readers use and to keep the site working.
Cookies and advertising
We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, measure traffic, and serve advertising.
- Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Your choices. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies directly.
- Analytics. We use privacy-conscious analytics to count visits and understand which sections readers use. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual readers.
How we use information
- To publish and maintain directory listings you submit.
- To respond to your emails, tips, and correction requests.
- To process Premium listing payments and prevent fraud.
- To improve the site's coverage, speed, and usability.
- To serve advertising that keeps the site free to read.
We do not sell your personal information. Business listing details you submit for public display (business name, address, phone, hours) are published as part of the listing — that is the point of a directory.
Links to other sites
Our news pages link out to the original reporting of other outlets, and listings link to businesses' own websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
Your rights and contact
You can ask us to correct or remove your personal information or a business listing at any time — email us through the contact page and we will act on it promptly. We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version.
